I have an issue with the tie.

That needs to be resolved pronto. What's the deal?

It's my blog, I'll do what I want. That goes for both of you ;)

Whoever hates my top ten (i suspect it's you Jason) please explain what your issue is?

Well for starters you know how I feel about Babel. But Brokeback Mountain...cmon....Its one of the worst movies I've ever seen and Heath Ledger's performance in it isnt much better

I do know how you felt about Babel, but I also think you totally missed the point. It was very subtle, and meant more in the context of the tower of Babel story. I really think it might be worth a rewatch in that context?

As for Brokeback Mountain - you can either choose to believe a love story, or not. The cinematography was beautiful, the score was gold. I loved it.

For me, Brokeback Mountain was the best film released here in 2006. Deserves a place on your top ten for sure.
Top Tens are fun and are most definitely personal taste. Besides, how boring if we all agreed on the same movies.

I think the world would be a much better place if everyone agreed with my taste in movies ;)

Actually, scratch that. If that happened there would be a good chance that everyone would just go around depressed and thinking too much. And occasionally bursting into song.

Like Camp, for instance.

Yes, exactly like Camp!

Glad to see we're on the same page.

What! No Da Vinci Code?

Seriously, I thought that 2 of the best films of 2006 were Thank You For Smoking and Walk the Line. I also found Capote really interesting.

Oh yeah....what happened to Thank You For Smoking????
